music!
I think I'm going to buy a really small diary to carry round with me to log all the food I eat and put some thinspo in the back so that wherever I am I can log what I've eaten and feel thinspired! I've tried this before & it didn't really work but I feel really determined this time! I have to  make it work!

Days away

Be Free
Well I just spent a couple of gorgeous days in Derbyshire... the beautiful county!!! Was amazing. Did lots of walking and yesterday went on a 23 mile bike ride! Since I've not been on a bike for 4 or 5 years that was quite an achievement! I can certainly feel it today though =S lol

So still not feeling great about my body. I've felt pretty ill after my bike ride though & called mum saying I felt ill (she was up in Newcastle helping my sister move her stuff out of her old house) so I might be able to milk that abit and say that I'm still not feeling well and do abit of fasting.

Feeling pretty low about the fact that I didn't get the job I went for on Supercamps... which would have been so good! It's basically looking after kids over the summer holidays for parents who are still at work. You take them to theme parks and swimming/sports etc. They already had lots of people apply though so my - no qualifications just experience wasn't really good enough. I've just got to keep looking I suppose. I might go for a job at centre parcs. Anyway enough of my rambling.

Wish I'd spent more time in Derbyshire it's just so beautiful with thousands of public footpaths so you can just go off walking with no idea where you're heading and get completely lost and climb the nearest hill to have the most amazing views without roads, houses, people or cars to ruin it. It did rain abit though. My bike ride was sunny which was nice =) the rain managed to hold off for that!

Anyway enough rambling from me... just an explanation of where I've been! I've not been ignoring you I promise!!! lol

Busy busy

Well I seem to be sooo busy at the moment sorting things for uni etc and trying to find a job! I messed up pretty bad last night but I'm getting mega into swimming and running at the moment. I'm really becoming obsessed with exercising... I feel terrible if I haven't done lots of exercise in a day. I was really hoping to join the gym this summer but they all say you have to provisionally sign up for like 4 months or whatever and I'm only here for 2 before I move to Sheffield for uni so looks like I'll be spending a fortune on paying everytime I go but nevermind! Besides if I get a job I might not have as much time for working out as I do now.

I really need to get myself sorted at the moment though. My life is just all over the place. I ate loads of crap yesterday... It wouldn't have been too bad if I hadn't got in at 12 and then decided to stay up and watch tv until 2am and I just couldn't resist eating crap... typical!

Anyway I need to take my boyfriend's mum to the hospital for a check-up so I best get going!

Stay strong everyone! Hope you're all doing better than me!

Well I'm exercising loads and this belly is not shifting so I'm thinking about taking some diet pill </a></font></b></a>[info]cassandraislost told me about. I've never taken diet pills before though so I'm very nervous about this... Has anyone got any advice or anything? The pills are Relacore for my belly or Zantrex-3? I don't really want to take both. As I said I'm new to this whole diet pill thing so if anyone has any advice that would be great. Also if anyone knows any British diet pills that would be great because it would be cheaper for me to order them off the internet.

Thanks!

Weekend away

Well went to Birmingham this weekend for my sister's birthday... we ate... alot. Today I've been on a major swim:
4 x 50m free = 8 lengths
2 x 150m alternating = 12 lengths
150m front kick = 6 lengths
150m breastroke kick = 6 lengths
150m backstroke kick = 6 lengths
2 x 100m free = 8 lengths
150m front kick = 6 lengths
100m back kick = 4 lengths
150m breastroke kick = 6 lengths
2 x 150m alternating = 12 lengths
4 x 50m free = 8 lengths
= 82 lengths!!!

Took me a long time to do the kick but it's my thighs and bum that most needs to lose the weight so that's where I have to work the hardest.

Hope everyone else is ok! I'm desperately trying to find a job so I have enough money to join the gym next month!

Liquid Fast

  • 26th Jun, 2008 at 11:54 AM
bum!
Well I'm doing a liquid fast today... Got lots of places to walk too so will put on my ankle weights and hopefully lose some more weight and then I'm hopefully going out to the cinema tonight so hppefully can get out of eating tea! Well that's the plan anyways... we'll see what happens but I hope it works out because I'm at my sister's all weekend so won't get any chance to watch my food then! Eeeek!

Well anyways stay strong everyone! I'm pretty busy today but I'll be online whenever I can!

I've had a really awful day. I went swimming and did 72 lengths! (25metre pool) so that's over a mile so i'm pretty chuffed with that. But tonight my boyfriend's mum insisted we went out for a meal and it was so big and so fatty. i'm going to birmingham this weekend for my sister's birthday too so i can't get out of eating there so I need to do a fast tomorrow so much! Also will try to go for a run tomorrow.

I feel so bad about myself right now. My stomach is bloated and actually painful. You know when you just feel disgusting? That's how I feel now.

Well hope everyone else is doing better than me.

Swimming & lunch

  • 23rd Jun, 2008 at 4:22 PM
painted face
Well went swimming:
4 x 50m free to warm up (8 lengths)
2x 150m alternating strokes (12 lengths)
4x 75m breast & back (12 lengths)
1x 100m free (4 lengths)
4x 75m breast & back (12 lengths)
1x 150m alternating strokes (6 lengths)
4x 50m free (8 lengths)
= 1550m/62 lengths

I would have done more but I've had a very busy day and didn't have time. Going running later too with my boyfriend so we'll see how that goes! I feel really full of energy though! It's great! Just had a salad:
1/4 onion - 6 cals
Lettuce - 3 cals
2 slices red pepper - 2 cals
1 stick of celery- 1 cal
half carrot- 6 cals
salad dressing - not sure about this - says 70 per 100ml and I used about a tbs? Hoping that won't be too many
= 18+ cals

I'm not sure if this calorie counter I'm using is right though? That sounds like a tiny amount! I'm sure there's more than that in a salad?

Anyways need to sort my hair out after swimming and go for a run with my boyfriend!

Stay strong!

Calorie counting

  • 23rd Jun, 2008 at 10:19 AM
bum!
Breakfast:
Dry Bran Flakes: 144 cal / 1.1g of fat
Half a chopped banana: 71cal / less than 0.5g of fat
Half chopped nectrine: 33cal / 0.3g of fat

So that's 248 cals for breakfast. I have so much to do today! I was going to walk to swimming but I just don't have the time so I'll have to drive - or at least drive into town & walk from there! So annoying. Have so much to organise for my Mum's Surprise 50th birthday party! I can't wait!

Any one got a good website they use to find out the calorie contents of their food if it's not on the packet?

Completely crashed

  • 22nd Jun, 2008 at 11:15 PM
300
Well tonight I crashed but I was expecting it... We went out for a carvery although I didn't eat hardly any of the meat everything was still covered in really fatty gravy - yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, carrots, stuffing - the lot. I feel hideous and what makes it worse is after that I still didn't feel full and had loads of  chocolate, a sandwhich & jaffa cakes round at my boyfriend's house! My life is not worth living.

I'm just waiting for my Dad to go to bed so I can do my 30 minute work out before I go to bed. Then tomorrow I'm going swimming in the morning & then my boyfriend is on about us going running together. I think this is a great opportunity! I can do lots of exercise and monitor what I'm eating - I'm thinking bran flakes again for breakfast (no milk) with maybe some fruit, then a salad for lunch and one for dinner. Anyone got any ways they like to spice up salads but keep them at very low calorie counts... I think also calorie and fat content counting is something I need to start again.

Stay strong!

Day 2

  • 22nd Jun, 2008 at 3:47 PM
mask
Well this morning I had dry bran flakes with chopped banana on top and walked to church! Then when I got back from church I had an apple before going to the supermarket to do the shop for my mum... which was great! I bought tonnes of fruit and veg! So I can make myself some great salads this week. Then when I got back I had two small slices of this sundried tomatoe bread and some grapes before going for a run.

The run didn't go great but I think I did pretty well to say it was my first run for about 8 months! I'll go swimming tomorrow as well. Tonight unfortunately we're going out for a big sunday roast which I won't be able to get out of but I'm hoping not to eat most of it and then fast again tomorrow. I think if I do on a day off a day fasting then that should keep my parents at bay asking me why I'm not eating with them all the time.

I just really can't wait to move out and be able to cook for myself!

Hope everyone else is doing ok! Keep strong!

End of day 1

  • 21st Jun, 2008 at 11:25 PM
300
Well I'm going to bed soon. I have a pretty successful first day. Not eaten anything - except 3 pieces of orange my dad gave me tonight but they're not exactly high in fat!

I need a plan of action for tomorrow now though. I need to make sure I don't eat loads tomorrow or my body is just going to balloon... I'll need to eat something for breakfast though to stop my stomach rumbling in church lol. Probably fruit. Then hopefully I can get out of lunch and will probably have to eat tea. I'm thinking of just proposing to make myself a salad though. I think that will be much more healthy, or just a jacket potatoe.... will see anyways. I'll have to plan something over night otherwise I'll just binge and blow up like a balloon!

Hope everyone else is doing ok!

First Post!

  • 21st Jun, 2008 at 3:00 PM
body paints
Well I'm back on LJ weightloss communities after quite a while. As I said on my profile I just got back from Sri Lanka and eating rice & curry 3 times a day for 2 and a half months! I am huge! I also got fitted for my bridesmaid dress before I went away so desperately need to lose weight to fit into it again!!! So quite alot of pressure!

My stomach has expanded quite abit so I'm doing a liquid fast today to try and shrink it to stop myself getting so hungry. I'm also not putting the heating on - which sounds weird but if my body is doing lots of chemical reactions to try & keep me warm then that'll help at least a little bit!

Stats:
CW: Well I haven't yet dared to step on the scales but I'm well over 130lbs!
GW: For now 112lbs but we'll see how that goes!

So the plan is to fast today then to really restrict my food to mainly fruits and vegetables... It'll be difficult though because I'm at home until I go to uni in september and my mum is really obese and does not understand that I need to lose weight or I won't be able to fit into the bridesmaid dress! lol So I'm going to have to think up lots of excuses as to why I can't eat tea etc.
